Trade and Investment Consulting Solution (TICS) is one of the development consultancies of Nepal and has got proven expertise in the field of research, sub-national planning, governance and private sector development. Its expertise has inbuilt proficiencies in the cross cutting areas of GESI, climate change adaptation and DRR. TICS was established in 2013 with an aim of supporting the country’s development efforts, exclusively providing evidence-based consultancy services on the areas of contemporary significance. TICS has been working closely with international, regional, national and local organizations in cooperation with the government and development partners to conduct socio-economic research, technical assistance in planning, program design, implementation and impact evaluation.

Our work focuses on:

1. Strengthening the emerging private sector's capacities to use quantitative and qualitative information in formulating and execution of business plans, and result-based monitoring and evaluation for improvement of operational efficiency and productivity;
2. Improving access of youth, women and marginalised groups to finance, key services for efficiency and effectiveness, including green finance, market research, value proposition, logistics and supply chains, project appraisal and expertise of business modelling and forecasting;
3. Specialised technical assistance of financial and capital markets including econometric and financial modelling, investment advisory, fundamental and technical analysis of stock market;
4. Technical assistance to the governments for capacity building and training tailored to the specific needs, governance reforms, planning and budgeting of the municipalities with respect to constitutional mandates of federalism; 
5. Economic research and policy analysis; designing, implementing and evaluating multi-dimensional sector specific projects including GESI, DRR, and climate change adaption; and
6. Cutting edge IT and digital solutions for private and public sectors.

TICS Nepal has extensive experience on projects cycle management spanning a range of thematic areas including financial markets, governance and planning, social and environment safeguards, macroeconomic analysis, capacity support and entrepreneurship development. TICS Nepal also has extensive experience in conducting quantitative surveys and qualitative research studies and follows a participatory approach to ensure proper research design, tool development/pre-tests, training, piloting, field implementation, supervision, and data analysis. GESI, IT, climate change and DRR are the areas that cross across all the sectors have thus been internalized in the operational framework of TICS.
